Germany: Eremitage in Bayreuth

Last Tuesday I got a postcard from Bayreuth.

The card shows the Eremitage. The Eremitage is a historic park built between 1715 and 1722. It was built by George William the Margrave of Brandenburg-Bayreuth. After the death of George William his son Frederick gives the Eremitage to his wife Wilhelmine of Prussia. She have many additions built.
One famous building in the Eremitage is the Temple of the Sun. The Temple was built between 1749 and 1753 at the behest of Wilhelmine. At the top of the Temple is a golden quadriga driven by the sun-god Apollo.

With matching stamp:
130 years diplomatic relations between Korea and Germany (issued 06-06-2013)
(It is a joint issue with South Korea)
and a special postmark on the occasion of the Bayreuth Festival

Thank You very much Natalie!
