Liechtenstein: Maxicards

On Thursday I got not only two postcards but also my ordered stamps and maxicards from Liechtenstein.

One of the maxicards shows an aerial view of Vaduz. Vaduz is the capital city and the second largest city of Liechtenstein. It houses the national parliament, the Landtag of Liechtenstein, and is the residential city of the Prince of Liechtenstein. The stamp is from a set of two and was issued on 10-11-2014. It is a joint issue with Singapore.

Another maxicard shows the princely family of Liechtenstein. The current reigning Prince of Liechtenstein is Hans-Adam II. In 1967 he married Countess Marie Aglaë Kinsky von Wchinitz und Tettau and together they have four children. He has reigned Liechtenstein since 1989. Since 2004 has his eldest son Alois of Liechtenstein looked as regent of Liechtenstein after the government affairs. The stamp was issued on 10-11-2014 to commemorate the 25th anniversary of reign of Prince Hans-Adam II.

The third maxicard shows the Pfälzerhütte. The Pfälzerhütte is located on the Bettlerjoch, 2108 metres above sea level. It was planned by the Federation of Palatinate Sections within the German and Austrian Alpine Association in 1925 and approved by the government of Liechtenstein in 1926. It was finally opened in 1928. Today it is owned by the Liechtenstein Alpine Association and is open for business from June to October. The stamp was issued on 14-06-2012 and is a joint issue with Germany. It bears the stamps of Germany and of Liechtenstein.

The last maxicard bears the stamp of the Year of the Sheep. It was issued on 10-11-2014.
