New Zealand: Blue Penguins with ANZAC stamps

Today I got seven postcards: one from New Zealand and six from Germany.

The card from New Zealand shows two Blue Penguins. The Blue Penguin is between 35cm and 40cm big and is thus the World's smallest penguin. It lives on the coasts of New Zealand and Southern Australia.
The card arrived convenient to the World Penguin Day.

With great stamps:
ANZAC (whole set) (issued 07-04-2015)
It is a joint issue with Australia.
Exactly 100 years ago British and French forces landed on the Ottoman peninsula Gallipoli. They tried to open the Dardanelles strait to the Allied fleets to get access to the Ottoman capital Constantinople, today's Istanbul. The campaign ended in January 1916 with an Ottoman victory. 8700 Australians and 2700 New Zealanders lost their lives in the battle. The anniversary of the campaign is remembered every year on 25th April as ANZAC Day in Australia, New Zealand and Tonga.

Thank You very much Sharon!
