Austria: Hofburg Palace

On Monday I got two postcards: one from Austria and one from Japan.

The card from Austria shows the St. Michael's Wing of the Hofburg Palace in Vienna. The Hofburg Palace was with interruptions the imperial palace in Vienna from the 13th century until 1918. The building was extended since its first mention in 1279. Today it serves as residence for the President of Austria and houses different museums including the Austrian National Library. It is also home to the Spanish Riding School.

With a nice stamp:
EUROPA (issued 07-05-2015)
with First Day Special Postmark

Thank You very much Marco!
