Canada: Fortress of Louisbourg

Yesterday I got five postcards: one from Canada, one from the United Kingdom and three from Germany.

The card from Canada shows the Fortress of Louisbourg in Nova Scotia. The Fortress of Louisburg was during the 18th Century a French fortress. In the Seven Years' War it was captured by British forces and later destroyed. It was partly rebuilt in the 1960s and 1970s. Today it is a living history museum and a National Historic Site of Canada.

The card was sent from the Postcrossing Meet-up in Ingersoll.
Stamp:
UNESCO (from set of four) (issued 03-07-2015)
with a special postmark showing a swan

Thank You very much Corinna!
