On 8th October I got not only nine postcards but also two covers including one from India.

Inside were four Indian postcards.
The first card shows the Akshardham in New Delhi. New Delhi is the capital of India and of the National Capital Territory of Delhi. It was established in 1911 and became India's capital in 1931. The Akshardham is a Hindu temple with exhibitions about Hindu and Indian culture, spirituality, and architecture. It was opened in 2005 and is one of the largest Hindu temples in the World.

The second card shows a Bengal Florican. The Bengal Florican is a critically endangered bustard species native to Cambodia, India and Vietnam. It is said that only 1500 individuals are alive.

Another card shows a Golden Langur at the Manas Wildlife Sanctuary. The Golden Langur is a monkey species. It lives in a small territory in the border region of Bhutan and India and is listed as endangered. It was first mentioned in the Western World in the 1950s. The Manas Wildlife Sanctuary is a national park in the Indian State of Assam known of its variety of wildlife. It is since 1985 on the UNESCO World Heritage List.

The last card shows the Rock Shelters of Bhimbetka. The Rock Shelters of Bhimbetka are paintings from Mesolithic Period. They are on the UNESCO World Heritage List since 2007.
