Germany: Till Eulenspiegel

Today I got two cards from Germany.

One of them celebrates the 500th anniversary of the first publication of the stories of Till Eulenspiegel and shows various views of Braunschweig. Till Eulenspiegel was said to be a medieval trickster who wandered about Europe in the 14th century and played tricks on many people. He was born in Kneitlingen and died in Mölln. His story was first published in 1511 and later became a worldwide bestseller.
I bought this card in my hometown.

With a matching stamp:
500 years Till Eulenspiegel (issued 07-07-2011)
