Malaysia: Putrajaya

Today I got a postcard from Malaysia.

It shows the Putra Square in Putrajaya. Putrajaya is a planned city. It was founded in 1995 and serves as new federal administrative centre. In 1999 became Putrajaya the seat of the government and today it also houses the national judiciary of Malaysia, but Kuala Lumpur still remains Malaysia's official and royal capital. Putrajaya became a Federal Territory in 2001. The city is a part of the Multimedia Super Corridor, a special economic zone with many information and communications technology companies. It was planned as garden and intelligent city. At the Putra Square there are the Putra Mosque and the Perdana Putra, the office complex of the Prime Minister of Malaysia.
