China: Tiananmen

Last Friday I got two postcards from China.

One of them shows the Tiananmen in Beijing. The Tiananmen was first built during the Ming dynasty in 1420 as the entrance to the Imperial City. Since then it was destroyed and rebuilt several times. Today it is known as national symbol of China.

Thank You very much Keiko!
