On Thursday I got my first card from the Faroe Islands.
The Faroe Islands are an autonomous country within the Kingdom of Denmark located between the Norwegian Sea and the North Atlantic Ocean. The capital of the Faroe Islands is Tórshavn.
The card shows Saksun. Saksun is a village on Streymoy, the largest and most populated island of the Faroe Islands. Due to its beautiful setting in a valley surrounded by high mountains it has become a popular tourist destination. In recent years the population development was so dramatic that the village now just have around ten inhabitants.
