France: Chartres

Last Thursday I got three postcards: one from France, one from Germany and one from Turkey.

The card from France shows various views of Chartres. Chartres is a commune and capital of the Eure-et-Loir department. It is especially known for its cathedral, which is said to be the high point of French Gothic art and which is on the UNESCO World Heritage List since 1979.
