Last Monday I got two postcards from Portugal.
One of them shows various views of Lisbon including a Fado singer. Fado is a Portuguese music genre that is mainly practised in Coimbra and Lisbon. It is characterized by mournful tunes and lyrics about unhappy love, the life of the poor and the longing for better times. Since 2011 is Fado an Intangible Heritage of the UNESCO.
