On 25th June I got two postcards from Germany.
One of them is the Chronicle card of Constance. Constance was first just a small Celtic-Roman settlement, but in the 5th century a diocese was founded there and in the late 12th century it evolved into a free imperial city. Between 1414 and 1418 the Council of Constance was held in the city. In 1548 it lost the imperial immediacy and since 1805 it is a part of Baden and now of the German State of Baden-Württemberg.
