On 7th August I got two postcards: one from Germany and one from Austria.
The card from Germany shows various views of Oberhausen. Oberhausen is a big city in the western part of the Ruhr Area in the German State of North Rhine-Westphalia. In 1758 the first ironworks of the Ruhr Area were founded in Oberhausen and thus the city is known as Cradle of the Ruhr Industry. Today the economy of the city is mainly based on shopping and recreational facilities.
