On 30th March I got two postcards from Germany.
One of them shows Minden Cathedral. Minden Cathedral was founded in 803 by Charlemagne. It was the center of a diocese and subsequently of a small sovereign state, which was secularized by the Peace of Westphalia in 1648. Today the church belongs to the Diocese of Paderborn. In 1168 Henry the Lion and Matilda of England married in the cathedral.
The stamp shows the Lighthouse Schleimünde (issued 02-07-2020).
