Austria: Deadly Nightshade

On 11th March I got a postcard from Austria.

It shows a historic illustration of Atropa belladonna, better known as Belladonna or Deadly Nightshade. The Deadly Nightshade is a toxic relative of Tomatoes, Potatoes and Aubergines from the Solanaceae family. It can be found in Europa, North America and Western Asia.

Used on the card was this year's Loyalty Bonus Stamp (issued 05-03-2022) with its First Day Special Postmark. These stamps are exclusively sent to subscribers and collectors who have bought something in the online shop of the Austrian Post during the last year or who have a loyalty card in Austrian post offices. There is no way to buy these directly.

Thank You very much Anita!
