On 7th April I got two postcards: one from Austria and one from Poland.
The card from Austria was created by the Papersisters and shows the Ukrainian flag with a superimposed Peace Dove. As you all know, in late February 2022 Ukraine was attacked by Russia and now over five months later this war is still going on.
To support Ukraine in these gruesome times various countries in the Western World have issued stamps with additional donations for the wartorn country. This Austrian stamp (issued 31-03-2022) has the value for an international mail piece (1€), but costs three times as much. One of the additional two Euros each goes to UNICEF and the Austrian organisation Nachbar in Not for aid projects in Ukraine.
