Today I got four postcards: one from Japan and three from France.
The card from Japan shows a traditional Ukiyo-e image by Yoshu Chikanobu. Ukiyo-e is a genre of woodblock prints and paintings having flourished in Japan from the 17th through 19th centuries. Ukiyo-e means "pictures of the floating World".
With a nice matching stamp:
Ukiyo-e (from set of ten) (issued 01-08-2014)
The stamp shows an image by Kitagawa Utamaro.
Thank You very much Keiko!
