Today I got seven postcards: one from Guernsey, four from Germany, one from Australia and one from the Åland Islands.

Stamp:
Stories from the Great War (from set of six) (issued 11-11-2014)
Guernsey went to war short after Kitchener's call to arms in 1914 and in 1916 the Royal Guernsey Light Infantry was formed. The RGLI fought its first major battle in Cambrai in 1917. The stamp shows Lt Frank de Mouilpied Lainé. He went to war together with his brother Thomas.
