Germany: Chemnitz

Yesterday I got seven postcards including three from Germany.

One of the cards from Germany shows various views of Chemnitz. Chemnitz is the third largest city in the German State of Saxony and one of the thirty largest cities in Germany. It was once an important centre of industry. Between 1953 and 1990 it was known as Karl-Marx-Stadt. The card shows among others the Karl Marx Monument (lower row middle) and the Petrified Forest (lower row right).
