Today I got not only three postcards but also a cover from Belgium.
Stamp:
King Philippe I (from set of two) (issued 14-03-2016)
Inside was my first card from Jordan.
The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan is a country in Western Asia bordering on Syria, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Israel and Palestine. It is a member of the Arab League and the United Nations. It is a very hospitable country accepting many refugees from surrounding countries. Amman is the country's capital and largest city.
The card shows Petra. Petra was the Nabataean capital in ancient times and was located near important trading routes. It was cut into the rock and is known for its water conduit system. It is today Jordan's most visited sight. Since 1985 is Petra on the UNESCO World Heritage List and since 2007 it is one of the New Seven Wonders of the World.
Thank You very much Luk!
