On Wednesday I got two postcards from Germany.
One of them is Papersisters' German Landmark postcard of Hamburg. Hamburg is one of the States of the Federal Republic of Germany bordering on Lower Saxony and Schleswig-Holstein. It consists of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg and a small exclave around the island of Neuwerk in the Wadden Sea. As state it is the second smallest by area and fourth smallest by population, but as city it is the second largest in Germany and eighth largest in the European Union. It is a major German and European science, transport, finance, politics and tourism hub.
Among others the card shows the St. Michael's Church, the Speicherstadt and the Elbphilharmonie.
With matching stamps:
Opening of the Elbphilharmonie (issued 02-01-2017)
100 years Old Elbe Tunnel (issued 15-09-2011)
