On Friday I got two postcards: one from Germany and one from Belgium.
The card from Germany is Papersisters' German Landmark postcard of Hesse. Hesse is one of the States of the Federal Republic of Germany bordering on Lower Saxony, Thuringia, Bavaria, Baden-Württemberg, Rhineland-Palatinate and North Rhine-Westphalia. In 1945 it was the first federal state with a new democratic constitution. The southern part of the state is one of the most densely populated and richest regions in Germany. Wiesbaden is the state's capital, but Frankfurt am Main is the largest city. Other big cities are Kassel, Darmstadt and Offenbach am Main.
Among others the card shows the Abbey of Lorsch, the Messel Pit, the Russian Orthodox Church of Saint Elizabeth in Wiesbaden and the skyline of Frankfurt am Main.
With a matching stamp:
Löwenburg Castle at Bergpark Wilhelmshöhe (issued 02-01-2016)
with a special postmark showing Marburg Castle
