On Wednesday I got two postcards: one from Italy and one from Japan.
The card from Italy shows Tofana di Rozes. Tofana di Rozes is a mountain in the Dolomites. During World War I it was hard fought.
Stamps:
Rocca di Calascio (issued 31-10-1993)
Val Gardena Railway (issued 09-09-2017)
The Val Gardena Railway was constructed in 1915 by the Austro-Hungarian Empire to supply the soldiers at the front with war material. It was mainly built by Russian prisoners of war and to complete it more quickly the bridges were built of wood. It was didmissed in 1960.
Thank You very much Irene!
