Portugal: World Postcard Day

On 15th October I got a postcard from Portugal. 

To celebrate the first World Postcard Day Postcrossing hold a competition for an official postcard. This design by Daniel Estevão finished as the third place winner.


The card was sent on World Postcard Day with the matching special postmark from Lisbon. A nice related stamp was used as well. It is this year's EUROPA stamp of the Azores (issued 25-05-2020) and shows some old postcards. Like every year Portuguese EUROPA stamps are issued for the Azores, Madeira and mainland Portugal, however all these can be used in all three regions.

    Hi Dustin,
    You have a very nice collection of awesome postcards. During this pandemic, as I cannot travel, I am enjoying a virtual tour of Germany through your postcards of different states in the Federation of Germany - bringing back fond memories of my railway pass journey in Germany a few years ago.
