Today I got five postcards from Germany.
One of them shows the Marksburg near Braubach. The Marksburg was first mentioned in 1231 and was reshaped in the Gothic style since 1283. The Marksburg was never destroyed and nearly looks like in the 13th century. Since 1931 houses the Marksburg the German Castle Association and since 2002 it is on the UNESCO World Heritage List as part of the Upper Middle Rhine Valley.
I got this card a few weeks ago in an envelope.
With a matching stamp:
Marksburg (from set of two) (issued 02-01-2015)
with a special postmark showing also the Marksburg
Thank You very much Elvira for sending me the card in a cover!
