Yesterday I got nine postcards including one from France.
It shows various views of Avignon. Avignon is a town in the French Region Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur. Between 1309 and 1377 was Avignon the residence of the Pope. Since 1995 is the Historic Centre of Avignon with the Papal Palace, the Episcopal Ensemble and the Avignon Bridge on the UNESCO World Heritage List. In 2000 was Avignon the European Capital of Culture.
