Today I got two postcards from Germany.
One of them shows the Church of St George on the Monastic Island of Reichenau. Reichenau is the largest island on the Lake Constance. In the 8th century a Benedictine monastery was founded on the island, which later had a big spiritual, intellectual and artistic influence in the Middle Ages. Since 2000 is the Monastic Island of Reichenau on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
