The last week I was in Austria and during that time arrived eleven postcards including one from Australia.
It shows a Platypus. The Platypus is a mammal endemic to Australia and Tasmania. It is semiaquatic and is known for being one of the few egg-laying mammals. Another speciality of the mammal is that it is venomous. Due to its memorable appearance it became an icon of Australia.
The card is a maxicard. The stamp is from a set of five stamps about Bush Babies and was issued on 2nd April 2013.
The card is prepaid and was added with another matching stamp:
Fauna (from set of seven) (issued 06-03-2006)
Thank You very much Tasha!
