Russia: Moscow Metro

Last Monday I got three postcards: one from Russia and two from Portugal.

The card from Russia shows the Komsomolskaya Station of the Moscow Metro. The Moscow Metro was opened in 1935 and back then it was the first underground railway system in the Soviet Union. Today it has 12 lines and 222 stations and is the sixth longest underground railway system in the World. The system is especially known for its many beautifully designed stations.

With a matching stamp:
Monumental Art of the Moscow Metro (from set of four) (issued 29-06-2018)
with First Day Special Postmark
FIFA World Cup - Participating Teams (from set of eight) (issued 10-05-2018)
with a special postmark from Moscow

Thank You very much Elena!
