On Friday I visited the Herzog Anton Ulrich Museum.
The Herzog Anton Ulrich Museum was founded in 1754. It is thus one of the oldest museums in Germany and Europa and houses an important collection of Western old master paintings including paintings by Cranach, Rubens, Rembrandt and Vermeer. Between 2009 and 2016 the museum was closed for renovation. Currently it shows a special exhibition about Matthäus Schwarz' Book of Clothes.
