France: Cap d'Agde

On 18th November I got three postcards: one from France and two from Germany.

The card from France shows the Village Naturiste in Cap d'Agde. Cap d'Agde is a seaside resort on France's Mediterranean coast located in the commune of Agde. Since the 1970s this had been a popular destination for naturist tourism. At first it was mainly aimed at families, but in recent years swingers and libertines replaced the families. Apparently this was especially popular with Dutch and German tourists.

Two interesting stamp were used here. The left one shows Alexandre Varenne (issued 07-10-2019), a French politician and former Governor-General of French Indochina, and on the right you can see Lucie and Raymond Aubrac (issued 26-05-2018), two heroes of the Résistance.

Thank You very much Jobbo!
