Yesterday I got three postcards: one from France, one from India and one from Russia.
The card from France shows the Church of St Joan of Arc in Rouen. Rouen is a city in the Seine-Maritime department in the Upper Normandy region. It is located on the river Seine and was one of the largest and most prosperous European cities in the Middle Ages. In 1431 Joan of Arc was burned at the stake in Rouen. The Church of St Joan of Arc was built to remember her. It was built at the place were she was burned and the large cross marks the exact place. It was completed in 1979.
