Denmark: Christiansfeld

Today I got three postcards: one from Denmark, one from Poland and one from Germany.

The card from Denmark shows Christiansfeld. Christiansfeld is a town in Southern Jutland. It was founded in 1773 by the Moravian Church. The town was built between 1773 and 1800 following a strict city plan. Today is Christiansfeld's old town a popular tourist destination and it is known for its honey cakes. Since last month is the Moravian Church Settlement in Christiansfeld on the UNESCO World Heritage List.

Thank You very much Christina!
