On Tuesday arrived ten postcards, three of them are from France.
One of the French cards shows the Cap Blanc Nez and the Obelisk on its top commemorating the Dover Control.
The Dover Control was a command of the Royal Navy during World War I. Its primary task was to keep the British Channel free from German ships and submarines. It was based in Dover and Dunkirk and was active between 1914 and 1918. It was one of the most important Royal Navy commands during World War I.
