On 1st April I got two postcards: one from Germany and one from France.
It shows the B.C. Koekkoek House in Kleve. Barend Cornelis Koekkoek was a Dutch landscape artist and lithographer. Unsatisfied by the landscapes he could paint in the Netherlands, he moved to Kleve in 1834. There he came to fame and soon after founded his own painting school. Due to his success he was able to built a grand villa in Kleve's downtown. Since the 1960s this building is used as a museum, first as a city museum and since 1997 as B.C. Koekkoek House.
Two flower definitives were used here.
Thank You very much Marcel!
