On 18th March I got two postcards from Germany.
One of them shows various views of Ratingen. Ratingen is a city in the German State North Rhine-Westphalia. In 1783 the first mechanical spinnery and thus first factory in Continental Europa was opened in Ratingen, which grew into the Textilfabrik Cromford. Today it is a part of the LVR Industrial Museum and you can see it in the lower left corner.
The stamp was issued for the 200th birthday of Karl Marx (issued 03-05-2018).
