Germany: Neanderthal Museum

On 21st March I got a postcard from Germany.

It comes from the Neandertal. The Neandertal is a small valley of the river Düssel in the German State of North Rhine-Westphalia whose shape was dramatically changed by industrial quarrying during the 19th and 20th century. In 1856 this was the place where the first specimen of Homo neanderthalensis was found. Shown on the card is the Neanderthal Museum. Opened in 1996, it covers humanity's pre- and protohistory and especially the Homo neanderthalensis.

The card arrived without a stamp.

Thank You very much Marcel!
