On 31st July I got two postcards from France.
One of them shows various views of Blois. Blois is the capital city of the Loir-et-Cher department and home to the Royal Château de Blois, one of the most famous Loire castles which was the residence of several French kings. As part of the Loire Valley between Sully-sur-Loire and Chalonnes is the historic part of Blois since 2000 on the UNESCO World Heritage List. I really like the small image of the crowned porcupine, the symbol of King Louis XII.
The stamp is the French contribution to this year's Euromed omnibus issue about Mediterranean jewelry (issued 12-07-2021) and the postmark is from the philatelic shop in Blois.
Thank You very much William!
