On 6th October I got two postcards: one from Belgium and one from Germany.
The card from Belgium shows a view of Eupen. Eupen is a city near the borders with Germany and the Netherlands. Until the Treaty of Versailles in 1919 Eupen belonged to Prussia and as such to the German Empire. Still today German is the most spoken language in the city and Eupen is the capital of Belgium's German-speaking Community also known as East Belgium, one of the three federal communities in Belgium.
A stamp of delicious Belgian fries was used.
Thank You very much Marcel!
