The card from France shows various views of Toulouse. Toulouse is the fourth largest city in France.

Andorra: General Council

Yesterday I got five postcards: one from Andorra, one from France, one from Germany, one from Hong Kong and one from Spain.

The card from Andorra shows the Casa de la Vall, which houses the General Council of Andorra. The General Council is the parliament of Andorra. It is unicameral and has 28 members. It has the second-highest proportion of women legislators in the World.

Andorra: Sant Julià de Lòria

On Friday I got five postcards from Andorra.

One of them shows a view of Sant Julià de Lòria. Sant Julià de Lòria is the southernmost parish of Andorra. It houses the University of Andorra.

Germany: Friedrichshafen

Today I got two postcards: one from Germany and one from the Netherlands.

The card from Germany shows Friedrichshafen. Friedrichshafen is the second largest city on Lake Constance. In the 19th century Graf Ferdinand von Zeppelin established his dirigible factory in the city and in 1900 the World's first Zeppelin started in Friedrichshafen. In 2003 a university was founded there.

The card from the Netherlands shows the Oudezijds Achterburgwal in Amsterdam.

Today I got not only two postcards but also three covers including one from Italy.

La Grande Guerra. La Liberazione. Cento gemme della filatelia italiana (issued 15-10-2015)

Inside were two maxicards and one souvenir sheet.
The first maxicard bears the same stamp as the cover. "La Grande Guerra. La Liberazione. Cento gemme della filatelia italiana" was a philatelic exhibition at the Quirinal Palace in Rome, one of the official residences of the President of Italy, in October 2015. It showed philatelic exhibits about the centenary of World War I, the 70th anniversary of the end of World War II and other important moments in the Italian history.

The second maxicard is about the 150th anniversary of the proclamation of Florence as capital of Italy (issued 19-06-2015). Florence was the capital of the Kingdom of Italy between 1865 and 1871. I also got the mint souvenir sheet, which you can see here.

Canada: Caribou Hotel

Today I got two postcards: one from Canada and one from Singapore.

The card from Canada shows the Caribou Hotel in the Yukon Territory and the ghost of the hotel's former co-owner Bessie Gideon. The Caribou Hotel was built in the Klondike Gold Rush era and is said to be home of three or more ghosts. 

The card is prepaid and was cancelled with a pictorial postmark from Whitehouse.

The card from Singapore shows various icons of the country including the national flag, the Merlion and the national flower.
