Singapore: Gardens by the Bay

On Thursday I got five postcards: one from Singapore, one from Belgium and three from Germany.

The card from Singapore shows the Gardens by the Bay. The Gardens by the Bay are Singapore's latest landmark and are built on 101 hectares of reclaimed land. It consists of 3 waterfront gardens and showcases a great diversity of flora and fauna from around the World. There are also 2 cool conservatories called Flower Dome and Cloud Forest. Both are shown at background of the card. The buildings in the foreground are 3 of the 18 Supertrees. The Supertrees are from 25m to 50m high and have many functions such as planting, shading and working as environmental engines for the gardens.

Stamp:
Our City in a Garden-Label (issued 26-08-2013)
The stamp shows the Marina Bay Sands, the Singapore Flyer, the Changi Airport, the Supertrees, the Esplanade Theatre and the Merlion.

Thank You very much Tracy!
