Germany: Chemnitz

On Tuesday I got three postcards: one from Germany, one from the United Kingdom and one from France.

The card from Germany shows various older views of Chemnitz. Chemnitz is a city in the German State of Saxony. It is the third largest city of its state and was once an important industrial town. Between 1953 and 1990 it was known as Karl-Marx-Stadt. In late August 2018 the city was the site of a series of protests that attracted at least 8000 people.

With a related stamp:
200th birthday of Karl Marx (issued 03-05-2018)

Thank You very much Marcel!
