My Trip to Berlin

Last Saturday I was in Berlin, where I bought some cards for my collection.

The Futurium is a new museum about future technologies and the way we want to live in the future. It was just opened on 5th September 2019 and is a joint project of the German government together with various scientific and economic organisations.

Konnopke's Imbiß is a snack stall in Prenzlauer Berg. It is known for the introduction of the Currywurst to East Berlin in 1960.

The Berlin Wall Memorial on Bernauer Straße commemorates the division of Berlin by the Berlin Wall and the deaths that occurred there. It consists of various monuments and exhibitions.

The Chapel of Reconciliation is a part of the Berlin Wall Memorial. It is located on the site of the former Gothic revival Church of Reconciliation, which was located directly at the Berlin Wall and which was thus destroyed in 1985.

Another card I bought at the memorial promotes a journey to the Soviet Union, the country of the first cosmonauts.
