Russia: Tomsk

Today I got two cards: one from Russia and one from Germany.

The card from Russia shows some impressions of Tomsk. Tomsk is located in the Tomsk Oblast in Siberia. It was founded in 1604.

The card was sent from the Postcrossing Meet-up in Tomsk.
With a matching stamp and another nice stamp:
400 years Tomsk (issued 20-08-2004)
Tower Clocks (from set of two) (issued 21-05-2014)
It is a joint issue with Switzerland.
with a special postmark showing wooden architecture

Thank You very much Svetlana!

  1. Hi Dustin,
Checked out wiki regarding Tomsk and learned that it is one of the oldest towns in Siberia. Tomsk celebrated its 400th anniversary in 2004.
The stamp in the blue background shown here in the postcard, I checked it on an online stamp catalogue I always go to and found it issued on 2014, May 21. It is entitled Tower Clocks - Joint Issue with Switzerland .
