Germany: Cologne Carnival

On Tuesday I got six postcards: two from Germany, one from Japan, one from Hong Kong and two from France.

One of the cards from Germany shows a scene of the Cologne Carnival. The Cologne Carnival is a variant of the Rhineland Carnival and is held every year. It is one of the biggest and best known carnivals in the World. The highlight of the Cologne Carnival is the Rose Monday. The Rhineland Carnival in all its local variants was added to the German Nationwide Inventory of Intangible Cultural Heritage in 2014.

Stamp:
500th birthday of Lucas Cranach the Younger (issued 01-10-2015)

Thank You very much Marcel!
