Germany: History of Dinkelsbühl

Yesterday I got four postcards: one from Germany, two from South Africa and one from Russia.

The card from Germany is the Chronicle card of Dinkelsbühl. Dinkelsbühl was first mentioned in 1188 and in 1273 it became a Free Imperial Town. During the Thirty Years' War it repeatedly changed hands. Since 1806 it is a part of Bavaria. Due to its well-preserved Medieval town centre it is a popular tourist destination.

Stamp:
Saxon Switzerland (issued 02-06-2016)

Thank You very much Steffi!
