Russia: Russian Museum of Photography

Yesterday I got four postcards: one from Russia, one from Germany and two from South Africa.

The card from Russia shows a World War I photo from the collection of the Russian Museum of Photography. The Russian Museum of Photography is located in Nizhny Novgorod and was opened in 1992. It houses unique collections of photographs.

With a related stamp:
100 years of the Great Russian Revolution (from set of four) (issued 02-03-2017)
The Great Russian Revolution includes several historical events, such as the February Revolution which resulted in the overthrow of the monarchy, the establishment of the Russian Provisional Government, the proclamation of Russia as a republic, the October Revolution and the establishment of the Soviet regime. The February Revolution took place in the context of heavy military setbacks during World War I, which left much of the Russian Army in a state of mutiny. In March 1918 the new Bolshevik leaders signed the Treaty of Brest-Litovsk with Germany, which ended Russia's participation in World War I.

Thank You very much Iuliia!
