Hungary: Eger

Today I got four postcards: one from Hungary, one from Indonesia and two from Germany.

The card from Hungary shows various views of Eger. Eger is a city in northern Hungary and the seat of the Heves county. The Minaret of Eger (central picture) is one of just three remaining minarets in Hungary and dates back to the time of the Ottoman occupation. It is the northernmost Turkish minaret in Europe. The Cathedral of Eger (upper left picture) is the second largest church in Hungary.

Thank You very much Gabriella!
