Germany: Seiffen

Today I got four cards from Germany.

One of them shows an aerial view of Seiffen. Seiffen is a town in the Ore Mountains in the German State of Saxony. Once it was a mining town, but after the deposits declined the miners started the wood carving. Today is Seiffen a centre of the wooden toy industry and is known for its Christmas goods. It is also a health resort. It seeks as part of the Mining Cultural Landscape Ore Mountains for the inclusion on the UNESCO World Heritage List.

Thank You very much Svea!
